Workshop: Getting Creative - Teaching Information Literacy to Art and Design Students

A workshop designed for librarians looking for new ways to run information literacy or library skills sessions for Art and Design students. Featuring a wide range of speakers engaged in innovative practices, this event will look at the subject specific nature of information literacy, outlining a variety of inspiring approaches.

Presenters will cover a range of topics such as using Archives and Special Collections, embedding creative project based sessions, creating online resources, designing an institutional framework and devising games to use in teaching sessions. The event will also provide a valuable opportunity to network with other art librarians engaged in teaching information literacy and share practices.
