Do you catalogue exhibition catalogues and documentation?

Are you moving to RDA or importing RDA records?

Have you started looking at RDA but are confused by compilations, collaborations and conventional collective titles?

The ARLIS Cataloguing and Classification Committee are pleased to offer a one-day workshop on the cataloguing of exhibition documentation in RDA. The workshop will be presented by two experts in the field Janet Ashton, British Library, and Deborah Lee, The Courtauld Institute of Art. The workshop will focus on the complexities of cataloguing exhibition catalogues in RDA. There will be an emphasis on RDA relationships, looking at topics such as compilations, collaborations and corporate bodies for exhibition catalogues. Other issues will also be discussed, for instance contents and carriers for exhibition catalogues. The workshop will feature a number of practical exercises, and during the afternoon there will be an opportunity to produce RDA catalogue records for real exhibition catalogues, with help and guidance from the workshop leaders.

Please note that it is expected that delegates with have some basic familiarity with RDA.

Fees:
ARLIS members: £55
Non-ARLIS members £75
ARLIS Students/unwaged £30
Non-ARLIS Students/unwaged £40

Lunch will not be provided at this workshop, but there is a room with sofas in which sandwiches can be eaten.
